Pool Repair

When a pool owner notices a drop in water level, hears a grinding noise from the equipment pad, or sees a crack in the plaster, they are dealing with a repair that needs attention. Pool repair covers everything from a failed pump motor and a leaking filter to broken plumbing lines and loose tile. The homeowner usually calls because something is not working right, and they want it fixed properly so they can get back to using the pool without worry.

Our crew starts by shutting off power to the equipment and draining any water that needs to be moved. We open the pump strainer basket, inspect the impeller for debris, and check the O-ring seal. For plumbing leaks, we pressure-test the lines with a gauge to locate the exact break. We use PVC primer and cement for pipe repairs, silicone gaskets for seals, and stainless-steel screws for clamps. Every joint is tested before we turn the system back on.

The cost and time of a repair change with the age of the equipment, the type of material involved, and how easy it is to reach the failed part. A pump buried behind landscaping or a heater in a tight corner takes longer to access. Older plumbing may be brittle and crack during removal, adding time. The condition of the surrounding concrete or decking can also affect how we set up. Each job is different, and we factor those variables into the estimate.

On the day of the repair, we lay down tarps to protect the deck and keep tools off the ground. We work on site, cut and fit parts, and test everything before we pack up. We remove old parts and debris and take them with us. Before we arrive, the homeowner should clear the pool area of furniture and toys.
