We start by listening to what you have already done, then we test the water and inspect the whole system to find the root cause.

We begin with a full water test using a professional photometer to check for phosphates, nitrates, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and cyanuric acid. Next, we inspect the pump basket, impeller, and skimmer for debris. We check the filter pressure gauge, open the valve to inspect the internals, and test the flow rate at the returns. For underground lines, we use a pressure test kit to isolate leaks. Every step is documented.

The complexity of a diagnosis depends on the pool's age, equipment layout, and the specific failure mode. A pool with an undersized pump or a clogged impeller takes longer to trace than a simple algae bloom. Access to the equipment pad matters: tight spaces or buried valves add time. The condition of the water—high phosphates, nitrates from fertilizer runoff, or metal stains—can require multiple tests. Weather affects how quickly we can work outdoors.

On the day of the visit, our crew arrives with a full diagnostic kit, test reagents, pressure gauges, and a camera for inspecting pipes. We protect the deck and landscaping with drop cloths when working near the equipment. After the diagnosis, we explain what we found and show you the evidence. Before we arrive, please have the pump running and the skimmer baskets clean. After we leave, no action is needed from you until we agree on a repair plan.
